Having a difficult marriage is deeply personal and can be hard to admit to your closest friends, let alone the entire world. But she had that courage and we’re all better off because of it.
Here’s the truth: relationships have their ups and downs, be they monogamous, polyamorous, open, swinger, or anything in between. That’s just the nature of being people with oft-conflicting desires, needs, and expectations. And whether you choose monogamy or not, you’ll probably struggle with it at some point. That’s okay.
